My wife and I stopped in here for dinner while on vacation and the food, the staff, the atmosphere, was absolutely amazing!!! Would recommend ten times over. They wished us a happy anniversary and brought out a dessert for us to share and my goodness it was good! Stop here if you want to enjoy your meal and feel welcomed. We will be back!

I happened on this place just driving down the main road looking for something new to try. It's off the main road but it sits behind Arby's. In the shopping center. When I tell you the food is AMAZING! And you get a good amount. I got frog legs thinking they would be small. These things are JUMBO . I only ate 1 pair. Ans got 3 pairs. Plus fries, hush puppies, fried okra, cole slaw. Then the give you a mini cup of what they call Swamp Soup. That stuff is AMAZING. It taste home cooked like someone's mom was working in the kitchen. Lol, the food is seasoned to perfection . Great atmosphere. Great service. Im DEFINITELY coming back and bringing friends.

Our camping neighbors told us about Fish River Grill, so we came for my birthday dinner. It was delicious! I had the large bayou basket with fried fish, oysters, shrimp, stuffed crab, alligator and frog legs. Hubs had grilled whitefish with crawfish sauce. Both had sides of swamp soup, fries, okra, hush puppies. A ton of food! Cool atmosphere and great service. We’ll come back on our next Gulf Shores trip!

The food was scrumptious! The fried green tomatoes were thick and fresh. We ordered the catfish basket and fish and shrimp basket. Each came with hush puppies,french fries, cole slaw, and a cup of swamp soup...dont judge it by the name or taste! I'm from texas and had never heard of it, but slap yo' mama, it was delicious! The baskets were large enough to share if you'd like. The service was superb, and the atomosphere was quiet but nice. We will definitely be stopping here again!

I started with a Wacky Tacky Punch which was fruity and delicious. Garcon was our server and did a great job. First, we received a complimentary cup of Swamp Soup which I only tasted because it contains beans, but it was really delicious. My meal was grilled Grouper Dinner served on yellow rice and included three delicious hush puppies, cole slaw and OMG Sauce. The piece of grouper was huge and perfectly grilled.

Excellent local restaurant - great food and service at reasonable prices. Our family who lives here had never been but mentioned they were always busy so they were likely very good. They were spot on! The staff was very nice, we were seated immediately and our service was great. The gator bites were amazing and in general the breading across all the fried foods was unique and tasty. I enjoyed everything I had here - great choice!

Had a chance to visit Fish River Grill while on vacation in Gulf Shores. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is on the end of a strip mall put you off. All of the reviews that I read indicating great service and friendly staff were absolutely correct. This place needs to be on your list to visit for two reasons, at least. Number one the swamp soup. It comes with everything you order and it's fantastic. Number two. The service and the staff are incredible and it will make your day just having visited this place for a meal. That's about all I have to say, specifically. The food was excellent. Our group loved everything that we got, including the gator bites, cheese curds, and the fried green tomatoes appetizers. The fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, hurricane Burger, shrimp po boy, steak po boy, we're all excellent choices.
